Piece of my mind
Growing as a child with weight isn't funny.
Having to cut down on your food intake when you love food isn't easy.
When too much is served in front of you, listening to your brain is damn hard.
Loving your body and feeling confident is impossible when you are constantly bothered by the judging eyes on you and hear they back talk about your weight.
It is sometimes hard to come up with snarky remarks at peers teasing you.
Feeling of insecurity is overwhelming.
When you're out, is your stomach bulging out? Is the dress too tight? Is my thigh shaking a lot while walking? The list goes on.
Falling down doesn't hurt you physically much but it does mentally, embarrassment it is.
Walking rounds around your lawn and skipping when forced to won't work.
You may not or do not get to wear what you desire as they say they do not have your "size".
Growing up with the understanding that being plus size is shameful shows how narrow minded are the people around you.
It is who you are and learning to accept that yourself is a tough task.
Eating healthy can be hard but it comes by choice.
You are who you choose to be,
No one except God will love you for who you are.
Heads up, smile in, comfy clothes on,
You are ready.
This is enough,
You are priceless and your true value will only be known once you are gone.
So why be hesitant?
Chill out and trust yourself.
Coz you gotta live your life, period.
Speak looking into their eyes,
Not their body.
Judge them by their behaviour,
Not size.
Feel from their shoes,
Not yours.
Give them your attitude,
And let'em decide the altitude.
I am not sure here I'm speaking to myself or to you..well, be yourself, accept yourself, embrace your flaws and love yourself..

Love this ♥️.
ReplyDeleteWe should all learn to accept and love ourselves and not care about what others say.
We should make those dirty words they say to us bounce back or evaporate into thin air.
Surely, they will know our worth when we are far better than them.
